Sales Advisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our retail team. The successful candidate will create a welcoming in-store experience, understand customer needs, provide confident product recommendations, and contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets.

The role combines customer service, selling, cash handling, stock support, and maintaining strong visual and operational standards across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer warmly and provide a professional, engaging shopping experience.

• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products, services, or alternatives.

• Demonstrate strong product knowledge, including key features, benefits, pricing, promotions, and brand information.

• Proactively approach customers, build rapport, and identify opportunities to maximise sales through cross-selling and up-selling.

• Work towards individual, team, and store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Process cash, card, refund, exchange, and gift voucher transactions accurately through the POS system.

• Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating when appropriate.

• Replenish merchandise, check stock availability, and keep shelves, displays, fitting rooms, and back-of-house areas organised.

• Maintain high visual-merchandising, housekeeping, and brand-presentation standards throughout the store.

• Work closely with colleagues and management to support opening, closing, promotional events, and daily store operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality, or a customer-facing role is preferred.

• A genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service and creating positive customer experiences.

• Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage naturally with different customers.

• Strong selling skills and a proactive approach to meeting targets.

• Good product-learning ability and confidence explaining product features and benefits.

• Well-presented, reliable, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry out light stock-handling duties.
