Beauty Consultant

We are looking for a passionate, well-presented, and customer-focused Beauty Consultant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will provide personalised beauty and skincare advice, demonstrate products, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets.

A Beauty Consultant combines expert product knowledge with a consultative sales approach, understanding each customer’s needs, recommending suitable products, explaining application techniques, and maintaining an inspiring beauty counter or retail space.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and create a personalised, high-quality shopping experience.

• Ask appropriate questions to understand each customer’s skin type, beauty goals, preferences, routine, and budget.

• Recommend suitable skincare, cosmetics, fragrance, haircare, and beauty products based on individual needs.

• Demonstrate product use, application techniques, and beauty routines clearly and confidently.

• Drive sales through confident consultation, product recommendations, cross-selling, and up-selling.

• Work towards individual, brand, and store sales targets and other agreed KPIs.

• Build customer loyalty by delivering attentive service and promoting loyalty programmes, events, and new product launches.

• Ensure products, testers, displays, shelves, and promotional materials are clean, hygienic, well stocked, and visually appealing.

• Support in-store events, product launches, demonstrations, mini makeovers, and customer consultations where applicable.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Beauty Consultant, Beauty Advisor, Makeup Artist, Skincare Specialist, or retail sales associate is preferred.

• Ability to identify general customer needs and recommend appropriate products for different skin types, concerns, and preferences.

• Confident in demonstrating makeup application, skincare routines, and product usage.

• Strong sales ability with a customer-first, consultative approach.

• Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.

• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and genuine passion for beauty and customer service.

• Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced retail environment.
