Safety Officer

We are looking for a proactive Safety Officer to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment across our luxury retail operations. The role involves supporting workplace safety, security procedures and risk management while protecting employees, customers, assets and the brand’s reputation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong attention to detail with a discreet, service-focused approach that complements the luxury customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety and security inspections across boutiques, stockrooms and office areas, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions.

• Support the implementation of safety, security and emergency procedures in line with company policies and applicable local requirements.

• Monitor adherence to established procedures and work with store teams to address gaps.

• Assist with risk assessments for store operations, events, deliveries and other business activities.

• Coordinate with store management, facilities teams, security providers and mall management on safety and security matters.

• Support emergency preparedness, including evacuation planning, drills and staff awareness sessions.

• Respond to incidents promptly and professionally, escalating concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, investigations and corrective actions.

• Support loss-prevention measures to help protect merchandise, company assets and confidential information.

• Promote safety awareness among employees while ensuring procedures are applied discreetly and respectfully.

• Follow up on identified risks and outstanding actions to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience

• University degree in Security Studies, Risk Management, Criminology, International Relations, Business Administration or a related field.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in corporate security, safety, risk management, luxury retail or a related operational environment.

• Working knowledge of workplace safety, physical security, incident reporting and emergency response procedures.

• Experience conducting inspections, identifying risks and coordinating corrective actions.

• Experience within luxury retail or another customer-facing environment is preferred.

• Relevant safety, security, first aid or fire safety certifications would be an advantage.
