Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while efficiently handling cash and card transactions. This role is key to creating a smooth and welcoming shopping experience for all customers. Key Responsibilities: • Greet customers and handle transactions accurately at the point of sale • Process cash, credit, and other forms of payment following company procedures • Ensure the cash register is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift • Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area • Assist with gift wrapping, bagging, and other customer service tasks • Answer customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member when needed • Report any issues with cash handling, systems, or suspicious activity to the Store Manager Requirements: • Previous cashier or customer service experience in a retail setting preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customers • Basic math and computer skills • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills: • Experience using POS systems • Multilingual abilities are a plus • Friendly, patient, and customer-oriented mindset
